JESSICA HARTLEY

Chosen by leading Dutch magazine, FONK, as one of 2020’s GAME CHANGERS, Jessica has deep roots in the creative industries, having spent more than two decades working across film, music videos, and advertising for brands and in the arts and culture.

A veteran of Cannes, the D&AD, SXSW, the Venice Biennale and other advertising and cultural festivals, she is highly connected across the creative and ad industry with strong relationships with journalists and other key industry stakeholders internationally.

Originally from London, she’s championed creativity in Amsterdam since 2006 – often writing about creativity and advertising for the Drum. 

She’s worked with brands including adidas, KLM, NGO Free a Girl and fashion brand Fabienne Chapot, and with agencies such as Ogilvy Social.Lab, HEIMAT Berlin, MediaMonks, &;Co Copenhagen, DDB Unlimited, HERC, 180 Amsterdam (2006-2012), Cloud Factory, RESN, photographer Jimmy Nelson -and many more.

Jess is known for launching campaigns like no other, having forged the PR strategy for numerous gold, Grand Prix and Black Pencil campaigns such as The Next Rembrandt and School for Justice. She’s helped win over 70 awards for campaigns where she’s created and executed the PR strategy.

RUTH VAN DOORNIK

Ruth is a German award-winning journalist, PR and communications expert with two decades experience in print and digital media. Strategic thinker, creative, articulate and with an extensive network in Germany.

She knows exactly which stories trigger (German speaking) editors to help brands or agencies  get more impact. Ruth sits at the intersection of news, business, culture and trends, and knows how to create the right topic in the right moment.
